HC Deb 19 October 1971 vol 823 c110W
Mr. Roy Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many employers in Wales have claimed a rebate out of the Redundancy Fund in 1971, how many employees were involved; and how these figures compare with the first nine months of 1970.

Mr. Bryan

I regret that figures are not readily available for the number of employers who have claimed rebate from the Redundancy Fund, and it would be too costly in terms of staff time to extract this information.

The numbers of employees in respect of whom claims were dealt with during the period January to September are:

1971 12,854
1970 8,465
