§ 34. Mr. Croninasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what contribution is being made by Her Majesty's Government to the funds of the Battered Child Research Department of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, having regard to the major contribution made by this organisation to the treatment of battered children and the consequent reduction of the workload of the statutory services concerned.
§ Mr. AlisonThe National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children is independent of Government funds and has undertaken this valuable work from its own resources.
