§ Mr. Leslie Huckfieldasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the grounds on which local authorities can refuse to exercise their powers to sell copies of the electoral register, other than the satisfaction of electoral requirements and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. SharplesRegulation 22 of the Representation of the People Regulations, 1969, requires the registration officer to sell copies to anyone, so long as sufficient copies are available after allowing for the number which may be required for the purposes of any election It is for the registration officer to determine that number.
