§ Mr. Dodds-Parkerasked the Prime Minister whether he will put forward for consideration at the meeting of Heads of certain European Governments in 1972 that the Revised Brussels Treaty, 1954, be amended to authorise interchangeability of membership of the Western European Union Assembly with the North Atlantic Assembly in place of the Council of Europe as at present.
§ The Prime MinisterAgreement has been reached in principle that the Heads of Government of the member countries of the Community and of the applicants 341W should meet in 1972, but a date has still to be fixed. The agenda will be for discussion between all the Governments concerned and while I am grateful for my hon. Friend's suggestion, I cannot at this early stage say what subjects will be included.
