asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the work done in Scotland in 1970–71 under the accelerated winter work programme.

Hospitals—maintenance and improvement 150,000
Agricultural colleges and institutions—minor projects 100,000
Colleges of education—minor projects 50,000
Social work services—minor projects 100,000
Housing—environmental improvements (S.S.H.A.) 100,000
Demolition of war-time air raid shelters 100,000
1,750,000

Mr. Buchan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many jobs were created by the winter works programme for 1970–71, listing the projects which were undertaken under this programme and the number of jobs in each.
