HC Deb 25 May 1971 vol 818 c89W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer why it took him until 18th May to reply to the communication which he received from the hon. Member for West Ham, North, dated 17th April, concerning bankruptcy and liquidation in view of the fact that his reply only contained extracts from existing legislation which could have been sent within 24 hours; and whether he will expedite his replies in general and to Members of Parliament in particular.

Mr. Barber

I have sent no such reply and would have difficulty in doing so as I have received no such letter.
