§ 60. Mr. Rostasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what progress he is making towards agreeing a scheme of arrangement between the creditors of Rolls-Royce Limited, the receiver and manager of Rolls-Royce Limited and the Board of Rolls-Royce (1971) Limited.
§ Mr. CorfieldIt is not for the Government to arrange such a scheme. I doubt whether the idea now remains a practical possibility.
§ 61. Mr. Rostasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what is the estimated value of the goodwill, work in progress, and research and development incurred by Rolls-Royce Limited on the RB211; and what price Rolls-Royce (1971) Limited will pay for these assets
§ Mr. CorfieldThe prices to be paid for the assets acquired by Rolls-Royce (1971) Limited from the receiver will be settled by negotiation between the parties. While these negotiations are in progress it would not be right for me to attempt to answer detailed questions of this kind.
