§ Mr. Proudfootasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will wind up the Regional Economic Planning Councils and in particular that for Yorkshire and Humberside.
§ Mr. Graham PageNo. In future the Regional Economic Planning Councils have important work to do in collaborating with the regional conference of local planning authorities and with Central156W Government in the preparation of regional strategies which will provide a framework for the modern development plans (the structure plans) dealing with land use and transportation. They will also continue to advise on the regional implications of national policies and developments. The Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Economic Planning Council will play its part in these functions.
