§ Mr. Tilneyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what proportion of the teachers employed in establishments of further education who teach, respectively, each of the following subjects in courses directed towards careers is qualified to do so, namely, business studies (professional and secretarial), engineering, food (housecraft, catering, bakery), clothing, liberal studies, nautical studies, and printing.
§ Mr. van StraubenzeeStatistics of the numbers and qualifications of teachers of individual subjects in further education are not available in the Department but the regulations require that the teachers in maintained and voluntary establishments of further education shall have the qualifications necessary for the adequate instruction of the students in the courses provided.
