§ Mr. Dudley SmithAt 8th March the provisional rates of unemployment for 223W wholly unemployed males in the Bradford and Shipley travel-to-work area, in the United Kingdom and in the Yorkshire and Humberside region were 5.4, 4.2 and 4.7 per cent., respectively. During the week commencing 8th March, 1 per cent. of all male employees in the Bradford and Shipley area, including some who were not registered as unemployed on 8th March, were known to have worked for less than their normal week.
