§ 77. Dame Irene Ward
asked the Lord President of the Council whether parliamentary time will be made available for legislation to protect the private buyer against meaningless guarantees.
§ Mr. Whitelaw
My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry is considering the advice of the Law Commissions on the question of guarantees which exclude the buyer's108W rights under the Sale of Goods Act, and we hope that legislation will not be long delayed.
