HC Deb 16 March 1971 vol 813 c292W
Mr. Cormack

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce a national lottery, the proceeds of which could be devoted to preserving and increasing the nation's art treasures.

Mr. Maudling

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to a Question by the hon. Member for Cleveland (Mr. Tinn) on 18th February.

The general review contemplated in that reply will extend to any proposals for the promotion of national lotteries, for whatever purposes.—[Vol. 811, c. 531.]
