asked the Secretary of State for Wales whether he will give immediate sanction to the application for replacement of the Bangor-on-Dee Bridge, in view of the present danger to life and property and of the inconvenience to industrial traffic and the local community; and if he will make a statement.

As I have already indicated in a reply to the hon. Member on 27th October, 1970, I will give immediate consideration to any application I receive for grant for a new bridge.534W No application has yet been made to me.
