§ Mr. Chichester-Clarkasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will now make a statement on his policy regarding supplementary benefit for retirement pensioners who find difficulties in paying their television licences.
§ Mr. DeanIt is the Government's policy to provide supplementary pensioners with a level of income which allows a margin for amenities, to be spent as the individual pensioner chooses on such things as television licences.
