§ Mr. Anthony StodartMy right hon. Friend is satisfied that the acreage under earlies is adequate to meet demand at reasonable prices for growers and consumers. Apart from the effect of the tariff in discouraging excessive imports when our own earlies are coming on to the market, the growers themselves, with the advice of the Potato Marketing Board, are best able to ensure orderly marketing.
