§ Mr. AmeryUnder the Housing (Financial Provisions) Act, 1958, local authorities have power to make up to 100 per cent. loans, and there is no restriction336W of the amount of an individual loan. In the nature of their lending, local authority loans are on average lower than those of building societies.
