§ Mr. Laurance Reedasked the Minister of State for Defence what part of the costs of running and maintaining the fishery protection squadron he intends to seek to recover from the inshore fishing industry.
§ Mr. KirkThe vessels concerned are operational warships and they are at front line readiness throughout the period when they are engaged on fishery protection patrol. It would not be appropriate, therefore, to identify or recover an element of these costs from the fishing industry.
