§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a detailed statement showing how the cost of living has moved since January 1970 and the effect these increases have had on pay on a monthly basis, to the nearest new penny ; and what would be needed to compensate workers earning £15, £17, £19, £21, £23 and £25 per week to replace the loss of purchasing value of these incomes and also the percentage rise for each of the stated months.
