§ 39. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Lord President of the Council whether, as no decisions are to be taken about paid appointments to organisations and committees of the European Economic Community until such time as it is clear that the United Kingdom will join the Communities, he will give an assurance that no appointments of any sort, on any basis, will be made to any of the European Economic Community organisations until Great Britain has come to a decision on joining the European Economic Community.
