§ Mr. Pardoeasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many representations she has now received from members of the National Association of Schoolmasters, the Union of Women Teachers, and the Association of Teachers in Technical Institutions about the activities of the Burnham Committee and the Burnham Further Education Committee ; and what reply she has made.
§ Mrs. ThatcherI have received some 250 letters from hon. Members on behalf of constituents and about 50 other letters. I have on different occasions met representatives of the N.A.S. and A.T.T.I. when salary negotiations were among the matters discussed. My replies have depended on the points raised and the views expressed.
