§ Mr. Wellbelovedasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what has been the response so far of each London borough to his Circular 10/70 on making available land for housing ; and what is the approximate number of new houses represented by this response.
§ Mr. Amery: Statistics for London are not available in the form requested. In the present London housing situation, Circular 10/70 was not intended to override the existing arrangements for London Boroughs to offer their surplus land suitable for housing to other London authorities, or to the Greater London Council for the provision of essential housing for all-London needs.
