§ Mr. Dudley SmithIn the past 12 months, 1,600 employees in the steel industry in Wales have been made redundant. Reorganisation plans already announced by the British Steel Corporation include proposals involving the loss of 859 jobs in Wales during the next two years, though the number of consequent redundancies is likely to be somewhat lower.
