§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT as much detailed information as may be available of the average wage and salary rate paid in each of the years from October. 1964, until October, 1971, and at the latest stated date, and similar details for the rise in the cost of living, the fall in the purchasing value of the £ sterling, the rise in the cost of food, fares, and postage; and what, on each of the dates stated, were the average salary scales paid to secretaries capable of shorthand typing or classified as personal secretaries.
