§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what estimate he has made of the effect of United Kingdom entry into the European Economic Community on the present level of United Kingdom aid to Asian Commonwealth countries.
§ Mr. WoodI do not expect it to have any adverse effect. On the contrary, I hope that the increased rate of growth of our national product, which we expect to follow from membership of the European Communities, would in due course be reflected in the overall volume of our aid to the developing countries.
