§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in the light of the new information as published on 16th January, 1971, showing that the official cost-of-living figure during the calendar year 1970 rose by 8 per cent., and that the annual rate is now running at 10 per cent., he will change his policy and take some action to control price increases as well as wage increases.
