§ Mr. John Hannamasked the Prime Minister if, in view of the enforced 28-day delay in all litigation due to the Post Office strike, he will take steps to provide that all deadlines relating to Government grant schemes, planning applications and appeal procedures, will be extended by the same period.
§ The Prime MinisterThis problem involves a wide range of time limits, some of which are laid down in statutes or in subordinate legislation. Where it has been established that the difficulty can be resolved administratively, this is being done. The remaining time limits are being examined urgently by the Departments concerned.
