§ 40. Mr. Pounderasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will introduce legislation to abolish quit rents in Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. Patrick JenkinNo, but I am advised that the Crown Estate Com-62W missioners, who are responsible for collecting these rents, are willing to discuss any problems which exist in connection with them, including whether the repeal of obsolete legislation could be achieved without prejudicing the collection of outstanding quit rents.
