§ Mr. Ifor Daviesasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he is aware that the proposed gunnery range at Pembrey is in direct line with and within a few miles of that part of the Gower coast designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty; and, in view of the Government's intention to protect the countryside and coastal areas by the recent appointment of the Nugent Committee, if he will now accept the inquiry inspector's recommendation opposing the Pembrey scheme.
§ Mr. Peter ThomasI am aware of the location of the proposed gunnery range in relation to the Gower coast. I am still considering the Inspector's Report. In the meantime the hon. Member should not speculate on the contents of that Report.
