§ Mr. Juddasked the Minister of State for Defence whether he will make a progress report on the implementation of the capital development programme for Portsmouth Royal Naval Dockyard.
§ Mr. KirkThe detailed planning of the work associated with the modernisation and rationalisation of facilities in H.M. Dockyard, Portsmouth is proceeding satisfactorily. Work has just started on Stage II of the Central Office Block complex. Two other major projects, the redevelopment of No. 2 Basin and the new Pipe Shop, are planned to start later this year.
