(2) if, in order to assist the growth of the new town and the creation of a better balanced working population, he will allocate to the Skelmersdale New Town a major Government Department.
§ Mr. David HowellOn the dispersal review, I would refer the hon. Member to my answer to my hon. Friend the 151W Member for King's Lynn (Mr. Brockle-bank-Fowler) on 3rd February. Skelmersdale New Town will be considered as a possible location for dispersed Government work, along with other locations in development and intermediate areas and other new towns.
