Mr. George Thomasasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will call for reports from chief constables on the action taken by the police in connection with members of the Welsh Language Society who have removed road signs in Wales, and on the steps being taken to protect travellers in Wales from the inconvenience caused by the removal of road signs.
§ Mr. SharplesThe police are doing what they can to prevent offences being committed and to bring offenders to justice. They report the removal or defacement of road signs to the highway authorities.
