§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister of State for Defence when he expects to be able to assess the sums payable to the three widows of the airmen involved in the recent Red Arrow disaster.
§ Mr. LambtonThe three widows' gratuities have now been authorised, and special arrangements have been made to pay them locally later this week or early next week. The Forces Family pension due to one of the widows will be dealt with separately when the necessary application form is received.
The authorisation of the War Awards is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services.
