§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will in future take such actions as will enable him to publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT as much information as may be readily available giving details, without identification of the persons concerned, where tax of £1,000 or more has been outstanding for payment to the Inland Revenue for a period of one year or more, the number of such cases and the amounts outstanding, and the total amounts owing to the Inland Revenue.
Mr. Patrick JenkinsI would be reluctant to ask for the extraction of further Revenue statistics in a form which I consider would be of little value as an addition to the existing controls.
