asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry when he hopes to be in a position to announce his proposals for introducing legislation to amend existing restrictive trade practices legislation.

The review of existing legislation is still in progress. Until it has been completed, it will not be possible to say what amending legislation is desirable and practicable.
