§ Mr. Miscampbellasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what proposals he has received from Lancashire to designate conservation areas.
§ Mr. Michael HeseltineDesignation of conservation areas is a matter for the local planning authority. The Lancashire County Council has notified me of the designation of 12 areas and I have also been notified of the designation of 23 areas by county boroughs in the geographical county.
