HC Deb 02 February 1971 vol 810 cc360-1W
Mr. Barnett

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what consideration he has given to withdrawing from membership of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, or reducing the United Kingdom subscription to that Organisation.

Mr. Anthony Royle

I have given no consideration to withdrawing from memship of this Organisation. The Organisation's expenses are shared among its members and each year, together with other members, we carefully scrutinise the Organisation's budget with a view to cutting out any unnecessary expenditure
