HC Deb 02 February 1971 vol 810 c342W
Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has any readily available statistics on the amount of cherry top and purple haze tablets seized by the police.

Mr. Sharples

It is not possible to give information in the precise categories specified. During 1969, the latest year for which statistics are available, 303,621 lysergamide tablets or doses (150 micro-gramme of liquid) were seized by the police in England, Wales and Scotland.
