§ Mr. DeanOn 24th August, 1971, 1,851,000 retirement pensioners were receiving supplementary pensions; on 23rd November the number was 1,811,000, including women over 60 receiving widow's pension.
§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many initial awards of supplementary allowance for four weeks only, and how many awards limited to a further four weeks after a three-month review, were made during the last month at each supplementary benefit office in England and Wales where the four-week and three-month rules are currently applied.
