§ Mr. Anthony GrantFollowing is the information requested:
operated the contracts preference scheme to the advantage of firms in the development areas; what was the total value of the contracts; and which areas benefited.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantFrom the formation of the Department in October, 1970, until 30th November, 1971, 228 contracts valued at £168,099, were placed with firms in Development Areas. Without undue expenditure it is not possible to say which were placed under the provisions of the Contracts Preference Scheme.
