asked the Minister for the Civil Service, in view of the Government's decision not to go ahead with the Inland Revenue computer centre 131W planned for Washington New Town, County Durham, what investigation his Department intend to carry out in order to build a new Government office on the 800,000 square feet site that had been made available for the computer centre by the Washington New Town Development Corporation.
