HC Deb 05 August 1971 vol 822 c401W
Dr. Stuttaford

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is satisfied with the time taken for Customs officials to clear heavy vehicles entering this country through East Anglian ports; and in particular if vehicles are cleared as quickly at Felixstowe and Harwich as they are on the South Coast.

Mr. Higgins

I am satisfied that, irrespective of the port of importation, goods and vehicles are cleared by Customs as quickly as possible. If, however, my hon. Friend has any particular instance of delay in mind, I will gladly look into it.
