HC Deb 04 August 1971 vol 822 c302W
39. Mr. Gourlay

asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications if he is aware of the inferior quality of sound and vision programmes provided by the British Broadcasting Corporation in some areas in Fife; and, in view of the standard licence fee in the United Kingdom, if he will take steps to standardise quality more closely.

Mr. Chataway

No. The B.B.C., which is primarily concerned with the quality of its sound and vision services, tells me that Fife is well served generally, and that the U.H.F. transmissions of B.B.C.I from Craigkelly are expected to start next Saturday.
