§ Mr. Peter Millsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he proposes to take steps to extend the free depreciation rules for immobile plant and machinery to agriculture within the development areas.
§ Mr. HigginsYes. The extension of free depreciation which was proposed on 19th July will apply to capital expenditure incurred after that date on new machinery and plant—other than mobile equipment—for use in a development area or Northern Ireland for the purpose of any trade including agriculture.
