§ Mr. Peter ThomasIn January, 1970, the latest date for which figures are available, there were 10,150 children aged 2 and over in maintained nursery schools and classes in Wales. Of these, 2,730 were in nursery schools and 7,780 were in nursery classes in primary schools. The detailed breakdown of these figures is as follows:—
