§ Mr. Dudley SmithOn 5th April there were 206 school leavers in Lanarkshire still seeking employment and careers officers are continuing their efforts to find suitable vacancies for them. The designation of West Central Scotland as a special development area should help to stimulate the provision of additional employment opportunities.
