§ Mr. Marksasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science over what period she proposes to spend the £280 million she estimates is required to 423W improve or replace schools built before 1903.
§ Mrs. ThatcherOver £40 million will be devoted in 1972–73 to the improvement or replacement of these old primary schools. I hope that, within five years from then, we shall be in sight of their elimination.
