HC Deb 21 April 1971 vol 815 c398W
30. Mr. David Steel

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many local authorities in Scotland are making full use of their powers to provide family planning facilities and what percentage of the total this represents.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

Eleven local authorities, including the four cities, have already indicated that they intend to expand their services under the wider powers now available to them. The full extent to which authorities will make use of their wider powers will not be known until specific information is sought from them in the autumn.
