asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many applications under the National Insurance (Old Persons) Act, 1970, by men over 87 years of age and women over 82 years of age have been approved in the Rhondda to the last convenient date.

Separate figures are not available for the Rhondda alone, but up to and including 20th November, 1970, our offices dealing with that area had awarded pensions under Section 1 of the Act as follows:
