§ Mr. Michael HeseltineThe Forestry Commission has regard to amenity in considering applications for felling licences and consult the local planning authority where there is a significant amenity interest. In the particular case which the hon. Member appears to have in mind, I understand that the local planning authority raised no objection to the proposed fellings. In this kind of case I think it is right for the decision to be taken locally.
