§ Mr. Kinnockasked the Secretary of State for Wales what additional financial resources will be made available to the Health Service in Wales in 1971–72; what percentage increase this figure constitutes over 1970–71; how the percentage increase compares with percentage increases in 1965 to 1970; and how the additional sum will be allocated between the various sectors of the Health Service.
§ Mr. Peter ThomasIt is expected that the additional sum available in 1971–72 to the health services in Wales compared with the 1970–71 provision will be about £4.2 million in constant price terms, which represents a 4.1 per cent. increase. Decisions have not yet been taken on the allocation between services of the additional sum. Actual gross expenditure and percentage increases for previous years are as follows:—
